Epica Replaces Five Finger Death Punch For Metallica’s Opening On A Few Dates

In an exciting turn of events, symphonic metal fans, Epica have been announced as the new openers for Metallica’s upcoming shows in Paris, France, and Hamburg, Germany. The band will take the stage alongside Metallica on May 17th at Stade de France in Paris and will also perform on Sunday at Volksparkstadion in Hamburg. This news comes as a result of former openers Five Finger Death Punch having to cancel several shows on Metallica’s tour due to lead singer Ivan Moody’s ongoing recovery from hernia surgery.

Epica, known for their powerful and melodic blend of symphonic elements with heavy metal, are no strangers to sharing the stage with renowned acts. Their inclusion in Metallica’s tour lineup is a testament to their growing popularity and influence in the metal music scene. The shows in Paris, France, are scheduled for May 17th and May 19th at Stade de France, while the performances in Hamburg, Germany, will take place on May 26th and May 28th at Volksparkstadion. After that, Metallica will be heading to Gothenburg, Sweden, for two shows at Ullevi Stadium on June 16th and June 18th.

The tour continues with stops in East Rutherford, New Jersey, at MetLife Stadium on August 4th and August 6th, followed by shows in Montreal, Quebec, at Stade Olympique on August 11th and August 13th. Metallica will then make their way to Arlington, Texas, for performances at AT&T Stadium on August 18th and August 20th, before concluding the North American leg of the tour with shows in Inglewood, California, at SoFi Stadium on August 25th and August 27th. The tour wraps up with two final shows in Glendale, Arizona, at State Farm Stadium on September 1st and September 3rd.
