Sumo Cyco brought their unique blend of punk, hard rock, metal, and other more to The Masquerade in Atlanta on St. Patrick’s Day as part of the Emerald Cities Tour 2023. The band kicked off the tour on March 2nd at Elevation 27 in Virginia Beach and will wrap up on March 26th at the Rock Box in San Antonio, after playing a total of 19 shows in cities throughout the Southeast and Midwest.
Frontwoman Skye Sweetnam hit the stage dressed as an alternative Hard Rock Dorothy, with sparkling stone-covered Ruby sneakers. From the moment the band took the stage, it was clear they were there to electrify the crowd. Skye Sweetnam’s charismatic presence and commanding vocals were the perfect complement to the band’s high-energy performance.
Sumo Cyco played a range of songs, including tracks from their latest album, “Initiation,” which was named one of Folk N Rock’s best albums of 2021. The band’s music played perfectly to the live crowd, who couldn’t get enough of Sumo Cyco’s energetic and entertaining show.
