This past Labor Day weekend, Pine Knob buzzed with an electric energy. Beck, the multi-talented artist with eight Grammy wins under his belt, joined forces with the critically acclaimed French pop group, Phoenix, to set the stage on fire as part of their co-headlining Summer Odyssey tour. And the night wasn’t just about these two musical powerhouses. Indie rock sensations Sir Chloe and the atmospheric Weyes Blood also joined them.
Beck, a legend who’s given us hit after hit for over three decades, did not disappoint. He delved deep into the archives, pulling out gems from various phases of his storied career. With each riff and he transported the audience back and forth through time. On the other hand, Phoenix, with their vibrant energy and charisma, celebrated songs from their last two decades.
Complementing the musical giants were Sir Chloe and Weyes Blood. They each brought a distinct sound and style, contributing to an evening that was both eclectic and harmonious. The excellent production and stage setup really enhanced the entire experience.
For those who might’ve missed this unforgettable evening, fret not! The Summer Odyssey tour isn’t over just yet. There are a few more dates left to wrap up the summer. Here’s where you can catch them next:
Tue Sep 05 – Boston, MA – MGM Music Hall at Fenway
Fri Sep 08 – Philadelphia, PA – TD Pavilion at the Mann
