Icelandic Blues rock act Kaleo brought their ‘Flight or Flight tour to Detroit. Though the band does tend to put their hand in a mixture of fusion such as southern rock, folk rock, country, and more. The band are from Mosfellsbær, though early in their career they would go on to relocate to Austin, Texas.
Kaleo has been featured on various soundtracks and has performed everywhere including the inside of a volcano. But for last night, it was all about Detroit Rock City, and they certainly gave the crowd a performance to remember.
The setlist included some of the most recent material from their 2021 release, ‘Surface Sounds’ which came out almost exactly a year ago, on Elektra. And of course, the guys ended the night with their number one billboarding chart hit, ‘Way Down We Go,’ and an encore for ‘No Good.’
The band also recently announced that the fight or flight tour is going to continue, as they’ve added more dates. Kicking off onto life 31st in Paso Robles, CA, before finally wrapping up on August 17 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, at Riverfront Park. This was an absolutely incredible show, so if you get a chance to pick up and check out those new dates, or any of the current dates, absolutely do it. This was a fantastic night of music.
