This comes as the band has released a new single, ‘I Still Burn,’ and have announced a new studio album, ‘Boombox’ coming May 6th. The album was initially called 2020, however, due to the pandemic, that obviously had changed things. The new album is also going to feature a cover of the beloved 80s track, relax by Frankie goes to Hollywood.
This is not the only news with the group, as the band recently celebrated their album ‘judas’ reaching gold status. The album was also chosen as one of our “Best of the Year,’ in 2017. The group’s first show of the tour, was also the first one they played with their brand-new drummer, Grant Brooks, of Through Fire.
The guys will be playing out the rest of April, and will finally wrap up the tour on May 16 at Pop’s in Sauget, IL.
Also on the bill, was Beautycore metal act GFM (Gold, Frankincense, and Myrrh) are a trio that has been a gift to the metal community. The Ayatollah of Rock ‘n’ Rolla himself, Chris Jericho noticed their immense talents and instantly became a fan, thus inviting them along for the tour. Bassist and vocalist Maggie spoke about this by saying:
“This tour with Fozzy is going to be a game-changer for GFM. We’re finally getting to play in cities that fans have been asking for for years, and we’re able to do it alongside a powerhouse like Chris Jericho. We’re excited to learn and grow and meet tons of new people.”
With their loud and heavy boundary breaking style, this is been one of the most exciting emerging groups to catch live. The group has also been making a lot of noise on the charts as well with their studio releases, as a number of their songs have charted on the Billboard Christian rock charts.
