The heartbeat of the music scene, thumped louder than ever at Asbury Lanes, where Dirty Honey uncorked a whirlwind of a show that left the crowd buzzing with energy. It’s not every day that a band comes along with the kind of electric charge that can ignite a venue, but Dirty Honey has that spark – and they set Asbury Park ablaze with it.

The MMRBQ fest 2023 was just a teaser of the raw vitality that Dirty Honey packs. Since then, the anticipation for their new album and the “Can’t Find the Brakes” tour has been building for me. With the album now out, that crescendo has crashed into a full-fledged rock ‘n’ roll wave, sweeping across North America.

Their stop in New Jersey was meant to be just another notch on the tour belt, but fate threw a wrench into the works with a tour bus breakdown. It seemed like the break might had found them. Yet, even this hiccup couldn’t derail the Dirty Honey express. With gear in tow and a determination to rock harder, the band made it to Asbury Lanes, where the show didn’t just go on—it soared.

The new material from their latest album was the star of the night, earning roars of approval from the Jersey crowd. It was one of those nights where the blues-infused rock was heard and felt – in the gut, in the bones, in the electric air that only one of their shows can conjure.

Also, they brought a surprise in the form of Danny Clinch. Known for capturing the essence of music through his lens, Clinch swapped his camera for a harmonica and joined the band on stage, adding an extra layer of soul-stirring blues to the night’s already electrifying atmosphere.

The band is just revving up, with plenty of stops still on the horizon, including Denver, Los Angeles, Spokane, and a final bow in St. Louis at the Hawthorne just before the holiday season hits. Each venue, no doubt, is in for a night that’s a rock ‘n’ roll event that’ll resonate through the city streets.

So, if you’re ready for a night where the music is raw, the energy is high, and the rock is unadulterated, Dirty Honey is serving it up hot. Their tour is rolling, and it’s an experience you won’t want to miss.
