The summer heat isn’t the only thing cranking up the temperature in Music City. Right now, we’re in the thick of one of the hottest tours of the season, as rock legends Foreigner and Styx wrap up their Renegades & Juke Box Heroes tour. It’s been a decade since these powerhouse bands shared the stage, and boy, does it feel good to see them back together.
As I watched them perform at Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheater, I couldn’t help but think about their storied history. These guys have been through it all together, from sold-out arenas to chart-topping hits. Now, here they are, reuniting after 10 years, and it’s like they never missed a beat. The energy in the crowd was electric, with fans of all ages ready to rock out to the classics.
As they gear up for their final show on August 28th in Sioux Falls, I had the chance to catch them during their Nashville stop at the Ascend Amphitheater. They brought the heat on that summer night, and I’m not just talking about the Tennessee weather. The performance stretched on for hours, but time seemed to fly by.
Both bands are legendary in their own right, and so was the setlist. Foreigner hit us with all the classics, from “Urgent’ to “I Want To Know What Love Is”. Styx pulled out all the classics with “Mr. Roboto,” “Renegade”, and many other highlights.
