As a photographer who has covered countless shows, I can say that I have witnessed almost every possible scenario on stage. However, sometimes I get lucky and find myself in a show that is more than just another gig. Sometimes it is a celebration of something special, like a tour opener, a finale, or a milestone. But today, I’m going to tell you about a show that was a birthday party.
Mayer Hawthorne is a singer, songwriter, and more who hails from Ann Arbor, Michigan. He has been making music for over a while now, but his work is so good, so fresh, it makes it seem like he is still a rising star. He always delivers fresh and exciting sounds, blending different genres and influences with his own style and flair. He is a versatile and talented artist who knows how to keep his fans entertain, and that definitely plays out well on stage.

Now of course he on tour was to promote his latest and fifth studio album, For All Time, which he said on this release, he wanted to go back to his Detroit roots. The album features a lot of emotional depth and ballads, and it was great to hear it live. He had a special show at the Majestic in Detroit, where he celebrated his birthday with his fans. It was a memorable night for him and everyone who attended, as he performed with passion and joy in his home state, which was a real treat to capture through my lens.

The tour is almost over, as he has only a few more shows left in the US. He will be in Seattle on Friday, February 9th, and then he will visit Portland, Sacramento, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. His final show will be at the Bellwether on February 15th, just after Valentine’s Day. If you missed his birthday bash in Detroit, you still have a chance to catch him live in one of these cities. Don’t miss this opportunity to see Mayer Hawthorne in action.
