The Dutch symphonic metal band, Within Temptation, has announced the release of their upcoming eighth studio album, “Bleed Out.” The album is scheduled for release on October 20 via the band’s own Force Music Recordings.
The title track of the album is now available for listeners.
“Bleed Out” marks a significant step for the band in terms of musical exploration. The album features a range of riffs and melodies, merging the band’s symphonic roots with contemporary elements. The content of the album is also reflective of current global events and injustices, particularly highlighting the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
Sharon den Adel, the band’s vocalist, mentioned that the situation in Ukraine has been a significant influence on the album’s content. “As artists, we draw inspiration from the world around us,” den Adel said. “Given the platform we have, it’s important to address these global issues.”
Tracks such as “Wireless” and “We Go To War” focus on the situation in Ukraine. Additionally, the title track, “Bleed Out,” addresses the challenges faced by women in Iran, particularly following the tragic incident involving Mahsa Amini.
Den Adel, who spent part of her childhood in Yemen and visited other Middle Eastern countries, expressed a personal connection to the issues highlighted in the album. “The bravery displayed by young women in the region has left a lasting impact on me,” she said.
