Singer/guitarist Tommy Johansson of Sabaton and Majestica has once again put out a new cover video on his YouTube channel, this time taking on one of Chicago’s most well-known hits, you’re the inspiration. about covering the track Tommy says:
A song that me I’ve listened to a lot since I was a kid! My dear friend Chris challenged me to make an extreme power metal version of this song, and a challenge like that I would never decline – and here’s the result.
The song was written by song written by Peter Cetera and David Foster for the group, it appeared on the band’s 14th studio album, Chicago 17, nearly 40 years ago in 1984. The song went to #3 on the US billboard Hot 100 chart in January of 85, It was originally a track meant for Country / Folk legend Kenny Rogers.
