Nashville-based artist Stephen Dunn, will be releasing his fourth, and final installment from his “God-Love-And-Death” series. The EP titled “Death,” will be released on Halloween, October 31, 2018. Telling his stories with heartfelt emotion and roots rock riffs, he first solidified himself as a fixture around Indiana University’s indie rock scene while still in college, playing shows and releasing his debut album, Indianola. After graduating Dunn made his way to Nashville and started work on his four-part series, partly inspired by the legendary Johnny Cash.
Stephen had the following to say about the release:
“I have always found it interesting that some of the most revered songs in recent history deal with murder and death. Bohemian Rhapsody, Folsom Prison Blues to name a few. So, I set out to write a murder song and I quickly had ideas of writing a concept album about a serial killer. This ultimately morphed into the idea for God, Love, And, Death. The album features interwoven themes of mortality, morality, and religion as it follows the journey of a man whose wife is murdered, and he becomes a serial killer”
The previous release dates from the other parts in the series include: God on May 1, 2018, love on June 30, 2018, “And” on September 8, 2018.
