Jessie Wagner has unveiled a fresh single, presenting her rendition of soul singer Solomon Burke’s beloved 1960s hit “Cry To Me.” This release aims to keep her fans engaged until her highly anticipated second solo album, scheduled to be released on Wicked Cool Records in late 2023 or early 2024.

Of her upbeat, doo-wop-flavored take on the beloved song, Wagner says

“Ever since I saw Patrick Swayze gently sway Jennifer Grey in his beautifully sculpted arms to Solomon Burke’s “Cry To Me,” I was immediately obsessed with this sensual song. It continues to be one of my favorites, and I am ecstatic to release my take on this sexy classic.”

As a sought-after vocalist on tour, Jessie Wagner has graced stages alongside renowned artists such as Lenny Kravitz, Chic, Duran Duran, Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul. Additionally, she leads the NYC rock/soul group Army of the Underdog as their captivating frontwoman. Her debut solo album, ‘Shoes Droppin,’ released in 2020, received critical acclaim.
