Kyiv Celtic punk band ShamRocks, have released a very short teaser of an upcoming track on their soon to be released EP. The band stated the following about the new song:
If there’s one thing we like more than shanties, it’s polkas! Please welcome another addition to our arsenal, the “Topor Polka” (from Rus. “топор” – axe).
It derives from a popular Karelian polka – though don’t ask about the title, it has to do with scrapped lyrics, which were too obscene to publish. As recorded, it’s a proper instrumental track, in the time-tried ShamRocks style (we call it “Irish Disco”) with a bit of extra ‘oomph’ to make it that much more danceable and headbangable.
The band says the EP has gone into mastering.
