New Album From Old Man Markley March 5th

March 5th is shaping up to be a big day for new album releases. As we reported earlier, The Emerald City will be dropping on that date. Now, Fat Wreck Chords has announced that Bluegrass punk band Old Man Markley, will be releasing their sophomore album Down Side Up! on the fifth as well. The new album which will be released on CD and LP, was produced by Fat Mike and Johnny Carey, and will feature 13 tracks. The band’s fiddle and mandolin player Katie Weed says:

The songs on “Down Side Up” are the result of a wonderful confluence of things: of touring for years and waking up together in cities across the world, of discovering new worlds while still missing home, of stories that we’ve wanted to tell for ages, of melodies that permeated our minds and then soundchecks, and of songs that took shape and life truly as a collaboration between band members.

If you would like to purchase the album when it’s released, head on over to the store section of the Fat Wreck website.
