HU$H delivers a chaotically catchy sound steeped in metal, punk, rap, and electronic on his debut Strange Music batch of genre-bending songs. His most recent release “Overstay” is out now. Guitar pierces electronic percussion on the track as the vocals slip from hard-hitting verses into an airy crescendo. Stream it here: https://lnk.to/Overstay

When asked about the inspiration for the song HU$H shares:

I had just signed the record deal I’d always wanted 2 weeks after my dad died and then moved to Kansas City to work on these songs. All this good was happening and all this bad at the same time, it was like I couldn’t feel any of it. When the pandemic hit it all started to change, and I was dealing with the loss of my father and what felt like the end of music for a while.

Every day felt like a weird daydream, or a movie and I had to just learn to cope with it all by myself in isolation, playing melodies and writing down what I was going through.

HU$H creates a hypnotic hybrid of grunge, hip-hop, and electronic music underscored by his own unbelievable triumph of will. The vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and producer has survived an often-brutal upbringing marred by bullying, homelessness, and alienation to emerge as a dynamic and disruptive sonic insurgent. He caught the attention of Strange Music with his shapeshifting style inking a deal with the label in 2021 and has since generated nearly 10 million streams and counting.

Sharing his feeling about joining the Strange Music family he says:

It’s an incredible honor to share a space with legends like Tech N9ne, the biggest independent rapper of all time and one of the most prolific lyricists on the planet. X-Raided was a big inspiration to me growing up seeing his unshakeable dedication to music through such a hard time. Music is something I’ve always held close to me and lived by as a religion, it’s the voice of the soul and a way for us to communicate our journey out of pain. I feel that same dedication and respect for music at Strange and that’s how I know I’m right at home.

In 2022, he dropped the emotionally charged song “Breakables” and on its heels, he further ignited his next chapter with the single “Envy.” Hear the songs here: https://open.spotify.com/artist/6sxubtAMXZBk6Vcm1UNZ6h?si=PZmd5B16QGWsq_N4efB8Fw

HU$H will be releasing more songs and videos that will culminate with the release of his forthcoming 2023 LP with more music on the horizon.
