Gone In April Premiere “If You Join Me” Video From New Album

Symphonic melodic death metal act Gone In April have just released a new music video for their first single off their forthcoming album, “Shards of Light,” which is set to be released on September 6th, 2019. The Canadian-American group created a story rooted in French-Canadian folklore, with their own twist. The band collaborated with skilled Norwegian director of photography Thomas Mortveit.

If You Join Me is about choice. Realizing that, even when a situation seems hopeless, there is a way out, and it is entirely up to us. Bélanger Roy

The band scouted various locations with that concept in mind and found the New Manchester Mill Ruins, a mill put to the flame by Union soldiers during the American Civil War, as well as Ramsey House, built at the very end of the 18th century. These locations would be the perfect setting for an old cautionary tale to take place.

The new LP was recorded at t WaveTransform Studios, Knoxville, TN, USA, mixed by the legendary Tom Morris (Lacuna Coil, Kreator, Iced Earth, Trans-Siberian Orchestra), also at WaveTransform Studio, and mastered by Yannick St-Amand, Northern Studio, Amos, QC.

Shortly for the band releases the record, they’re going to embark on a North American tour in support of the release with folk metal acts Eluveitie and Korpiklaani.

Shards of Light is available for pre-sale through the official WaveTransform store at http://www.wavetransform.com/gia
