Today we’re pleased to bring you the latest track from Chicago based rockers The Jab. “Dank Mississippi” is the second single which is taken from the bands upcoming LP ‘CONSUME.’ The new album will be released on February 4th, 2020, via Sony-owned company, Medicine/The Orchard. You’ll also be able to stream the new single on Spotify tomorrow, January 31st, 2020.
“Dank Mississippi” is a baptism of fusion with its gritty punk vocals, emotionally-rich blues tons, and a subtle hint of raw southern folk.
The bands’ frontman Jam Alker comments about the track saying:
The song is about the overwhelming desire for salvation and redemption… but be careful who you choose to follow; not all “holy” men have pure intentions.
The song follows just off the heels of the bands previously released single “Riot,” which has gotten high praise from places such as American Songwriter and PopMatters.
You can also catch The Jab on the road in support of the LP, in which they will be kicking off their first show the day after its release on February 5th in Scottsdale, Arizona, at Copper Rock. The band will tour through the remainder of February in which they will wrap up on leap year February 29th in Baltimore, Maryland, at Angels Rock Bar Power Plant.
